Dubstep gets its first awards show in Atlantic City but should it be held there or where it originated in the UK?

Should the Dubstep awards show be hosted in America if the music is not originally from there. The genre of Dubstep originated from the UK underground. A good amount of the most popular artists are from the UK, for example; Skream, Nero, Doctor P, Modstep, Emalkay, Flux Pavilion, Foreign Beggars and Rusko just to name a few. Although some American acts have emerged from the woodworks into the ever growing style of music. Some of these acts include the ever popular Skrillex (who had 5 Grammy nominations and 3 wins), 12th Planet, Bassnectar and Big Chocolate. There is no doubt that America has produced some skilled producers but do they deserve to hold an awards show?

    I think that they should be held where they originated from, to acknowledge the UK's success in the industry and this particular genre. America shouldn't have to host everything. :)

    I think the awards should be help in the UK as its originally their music. It would kind of be like the Australian Arias being held in America, which makes no sense.

    I really don't think there's any problem with a bit of change. I mean it's not like dubstep's restricted to the UK, just because something has originated from a particular place doesn't mean that's where it has to stay.

    I think it should be held in the UK, to sort of like celebrate where they first originated. Thats the best way from my point of view:)

    I believe it doesn't matter where it is held. In mean will americans be watching it on their tv channels? Its more likely to be seen around the world if it is on american soil.

    I think it should be held in the UK, where it first originated from. Although if America and the UK came to an agreement of taking in turns of hosting the Dubstep awards might be another idea to think about.
